Although Martín Begué began studying Architecture, he was always passionate about painting, with a particular interest in Mannerism and mythology. As he himself claims, his practice is somewhat illusionistic and deceptive. Martín Begué is a figurative artist who creates surrealistic and often confusing or disquieting situations.
Apart from a painter, the artist has also made several forays into stage and costume design.
