This painter and printmaker started studying art in 1944 at the School of Arts and Crafts in Barcelona, dedicating himself almost exclusively to painting. At the beginning of his career he joined the
group and then in 1952 he received a scholarship to study in Paris.

After an early phase of figuration he evolved towards a more socially-oriented practice in which he choose muralism as his means of expression. Likewise, his work also fell under the sway of the abstract movements of the time.

In the late fifties and afterwards, he started to experiment with the incorporation of objects into his series of silkscreens, transforming the works into unique pieces by means of a free manipulation of the material. His practice was transgressive and wide-ranging in its concerns but always underpinned by a heightened sensitivity. The forms in his work conjure up densities, sediments and other dreamlike signs that seem to expand in space, captivating the spectator in a world of fantasy.
