This work belongs to one of the most seminal periods in Feito’s career as a painter, defined by the introduction of red to counteract the sobriety of his previous practice.

In this body of work the artist is concerned with the potential power of light and with formal and material simplification, making recurrent use of circular motifs created with large brushstrokes. He began to paint with livelier and flatter, highly expressive colours. It is colour itself that generates the forms, transmuted into artificial objects, in turn capable of becoming living presences communicating and interacting with the space in which they find themselves.
